Driftwood LNG receives FTA export approval

Tellurian Inc.’s Driftwood LNG project has received authorisation from the US Department of Energy (DOE) to export LNG to countries that hold a free trade agreement (FTA) with the US.
Driftwood LNG is a proposed 26 million tpy LNG export facility, located near Lake Charles, Louisiana, US.
Tellurian has also submitted an application to export LNG to non-FTA nations from the terminal. It expects to file its US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) application later this quarter.
Tellurian expects to begin construction of Driftwood LNG in 2018 and deliver first LNG in 2022, with full operations in 2025.
