Tanks and Terminals,
According to J. Darron Eschle, CEO of Andrews Logistics, the company will demolish six older buildings and one 70-year old animal-rendering plant currently at the site, and renovate the remaining three buildings to create a best-in-class maintenance, office and driver facility.
Andrews Logistics also plans to remodel the main office building to design a better and more productive environment for the company’s drivers, mechanics and office staff, Eschle said.
“Our new terminal will replace the one we’ve had in Aliquippa since 2001,” he said. “The new facility is in a much better location for us and our drivers alike because it’s within minutes of some of our largest customers’ shipping points, and offers more convenient highway access for our drivers.”
Madison Eschle, a senior project manager for Andrews Logistics, said: “We’ve been serving the Pittsburgh market since 1998, and upgrading our terminal’s location and facilities is a strategic move to expand our presence in the Northeast.”
Andrews has also purchased over 100 new tank trailers in the previous 12 months. “As a family-owned company, we believe it’s important for us to continually demonstrate our commitment to long-term investment and growth for our employees and customers, so we’re making a concerted effort to keep buying new equipment as we steadily strengthen our facility infrastructure nationwide,” Eschle added.
