SUEZ to provide filtration technology to MODEC FPSOs

At the WEFTEC conference, held from the 29 September – 3 October in New Orleans, Louisiana, US, SUEZ’s Water Technologies and Solutions business unit announced four contracts.
Under the terms of one of these contracts, SUEZ will provide 1000 nanofiltration membranes for MODEC's floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels, Cidade de São Paulo MV22 and MV24, deployed in the Santos basin, off the coast of Brazil.
FPSOs are capable of processing 250 000 bpd of oil.
SUEZ will supply seawater sulfate removal membranes to reduce scale and corrosion in the injection well.
The three remaining contracts concern municipal water treatment and salad dressing manufacture.
