US Representative Scalon visits Fisher Tank Co.

US Representative, Mary Gay Scalon, recently visited Steel Tank Institute (STI)/Steel Plate Fabricators Association (SPFA) member Fisher Tank Co.’s location in Chester, Pennsylvania, US, which included a tour of the facility and operations.
Fisher Tank Co. recently celebrated its 75 year anniversary. Representative Scalon was introduced to the company’s rich history in the region, how it has expanded over several decades, and how it has continued to invest and provide economic opportunity to the community in Chester.
Several important industry issues were highlighted during the visit, including steel tariffs and the economic impact of the steel fabrication industry.
Visits with Representatives and Senators help to showcase members’ involvement in the surrounding community as well as their impact on that community. Moreover, such visits present an opportunity to educate them about key issues affecting the industry.
