The Zubair Oil Field Development Project is a significant undertaking in the energy sector, aimed at advancing Iraq’s irrigation and diesel storage infrastructure. The end user for this project is the Iraq General Co. for Execution of Irrigation Projects, with MOD Construction Operation and Maintenance serving as the main contractor.
ERGIL handled the engineering, design, and supply of a prefabricated diesel storage tank with the following specifications: a cone roof (fixed conical) tank type with a capacity of 105 m3, a diameter of 5500 mm, and a height of 4750 mm. The design codes include API 650 for the shell and roof, and EN 1090-1 and EN 1090-2 for the structure, with a design pressure of -2.5 / +7.5 mbar g.
Additionally, the scope includes a 10in. emergency relief valve (1 unit), a 2in. pressure vacuum vent (1 unit), an 8in. flame arrestor (1 unit), and a 2in. floating suction unit (1 unit) with end connections of ANSI 150# RF.
