Stolthaven Terminals has announced that the major jetty upgrade, designed to improve discharge rates and turnaround times for vessels whilst providing a superior service at its Dagenham facility in the UK is nearing completion.

Work on the new jetty began in January 2022 to improve discharge rates and turnaround times for vessels, provide new and upgraded infrastructure, enhance safety and reduce environmental impact and, ultimately, deliver a superior service to customers.

The main jetty structure – the jetty approach and jetty head/loading platform with overhead pipe racks and breasting and mooring structures – were completed in October 2023. More than 50% of the mechanical works, including larger diameter pipelines, have already been commissioned with the remaining mechanical and electrical works expected to be finalised in the first quarter of this year.

Stolthaven Dagenham's General Manager, Steve Walker, said: "This is a major milestone for Dagenham and for Stolthaven Terminals. It has been a great team effort to coordinate this project and keep the berth operational for our customers during these complex works."
